Halcyon Designs is a local artisan business located in central Maryland. Kelly Beckham began as a sign artist for local restaurants and stores, developing her skill for fine detail and cleanliness. After several years of practice, she began creating her own art inspired by nerd culture and fandom and travelling to local conventions. While her main interests are in fantasy and sci-fi, her inspiration is taken from many different nerdy genres including horror, video games, and literature.

All of Halcyon Signs are hand painted by Kelly, using acrylic art on wood. She also hand paints dice and card boxes for tabletop gaming. As her designs grew, she branched out into designing images for laser engraving which she does in her own home. Now many of her simple designs can be seen on notebooks, flasks, slate coasters and whatever else she can find to engrave on.

The online shop here allows people outside of her convention circuit to browse and shop many of her engraved designs!
